I mean think about it. Blaine and Tina would probably get closer after Mike left, they would need each other because they both probably were closest to him and missed him. And Brittany and Blaine had gotten so close near the end, and maybe Sugar reminds him a little of her, with a little bit of Santana’s bite as well. And at first he worries that he’s trying to replace the friends he had that are gone now, but suddenly (and he’s not sure when exactly it happened), they’ve become friends. And it’s different but it’s really, really okay, because it’s just as special.
